Questions & answers
Short answers for everyday readers. If you want to go deeper, use the trusted links at the bottom — they open in a new tab.
Do I need a wallet or crypto to write a memory?
No. You can sign in with email and write like a normal website. A wallet is only needed if you choose to anchor proof on-chain.
Is my full diary text stored on the blockchain?
No. Your story stays in the app’s database (off-chain). The chain only receives a small fingerprint (a hash) and related metadata — not your full letter.
What does “anchor” mean here?
It means recording a tamper-evident fingerprint of your memory on a public ledger. Later, anyone can check that the same memory still matches that record — without reading your private text.
Why use blockchain at all?
It’s optional. Some people want an independent, time-stamped record that isn’t controlled by one company. It’s about trust and verification, not trading coins.
Will I make money from this?
Missing You is not an investment product. Test networks may use test ETH with no real-world value. Always be careful with real money and scams elsewhere.
What is a test network (e.g. Sepolia)?
A practice network developers use so real money isn’t at risk. Think of it as a sandbox. The app may be configured to use one while you try things out.
